Breakthrough Program

Five year grant award
S.A.F.E. is a collaborative partner with Murrieta Valley Unified School District (MVUSD) to provide the Breakthrough Grant, funded by the Safe and Drug Free Schools and Communities.

The Breakthrough program will provide services to young people identified as being high risk for alcohol, drugs and binge drinkers. Students will have access to alcohol prevention services, teen groups and individual support from school social workers and mental health professionals.

S.A.F.E.’s partner role is to provide support and guidance to the parents of the children identified as “at-risk” and youth currently using alcohol and other drugs as well as offering additional S.A.F.E. services to the families.
